Absinthe is a perennial plant, a variety of armoise.
The Artemisia absinthium has a silvery green
stem of 40 cm to 1 m, the leaves are grey, greenish
on the top and white on the lower part, petiolate
and very cut out.
The blossoming takes place from July to September, the flowers are yellow, its odour is very aromatic and its flavour is very bitter.
Its name Artemisia comes from the goddess Artemis, twin sister of Apollon and indefatigable huntress, patroness of fawn beasts and nature.
